Knowing Half of the Battle with Sports Betting Online

Life is a big gamble, you win some and you lose some. We stand from where we last fell and learn from it, and face another challenge ahead. This is probably why gambling is so easy and natural for us, but like real life you can increase your odds of winning by knowing half of the battle. "How can you know it?" one might ask, and the answer lies on a reliable and trusted online sports betting source.

Sports betting has become the new means to gamble nowadays. Almost every sports program are publicly available and accessible, and thus the rise of the new "game". But like any other forms of gambling you must be cautious, knowledgeable and smart on how you play your game. According to a popular saying "it is anyone's ballgame" and true enough it is. The first tip is to play in a legal manner and avoid fraudulent sportsbooks out there just to fool you off your hard earned money. The next step is knowing the possible outcome of a game. You just don't place your wager on a NBA sports betting game right off the bat, one must first learn how the teams play. If one don't have all the time to do their research, then their best bet is to listen to a reliable source or an authority when it comes to predicting the possible outcome of a spots game. Then and only then, you can place all your bets and cross your fingers. Thus increasing your chances of winning.

Legitimate and Safe Sports Betting Online

Life is a matter of choices, a gamble. You either win or lose, but we must learn to stand up and move on. Chances are that the probability of losing would be much higher if you are not playing it fair. In the world of professional and casual gambling, this equates to illegal gambling or sportsbooks. So what will a potential player do to avoid being scammed and cheated? The answer is going all legit with government recognized sports betting.

Feeling risky; how about lucky? It can be dangerous, but that is how gambling works. Push your luck only to an extent, a certain limit. You can try various sportsbooks in states where it is legitimate (ex. Nevada), but if you can't do it face-to-face, then you can always try sports betting online. Before you go out there betting on any sports betting websites, you first must know the dangers of it, or any websites offering online gambling. Like in real life, cases of fraud occur even (or even more prolific) online. This is why it is important to first research and investigate where you are placing and gambling your resources on. There is only one trusted sports betting source online and that is Sports Betting Spot which gives you up-to-date matches, game analysis, potential winning outcomes and many more. Better safe than sorry right?

The Manny Pacquiao Effect: How One Filipino Could Affect a Whole Country

Manny Pacquiao has once again proven his supremacy in the field of boxing as he recently won his eight world boxing title on his bout with Antonio Margarito. If you are looking for an in-depth coverage of the Pacquio-Margarito fight, then you might have better luck somewhere else because this is a personal perspective and analysis on the "Manny Pacquiao effect" in general.

Manny Pacquiao with the Philippine Flag

There is always this sense of pride amongst Filipinos and Filipinos-by-heart everytime Manny Pacquaio victoriously overcomes his opponent in the boxing arena, acquiring a new world record making title along the way. This alone can unite a people of various walks of life, belief system, and all sides of of the political and military spectrum in the Philippines. Everyone seems to route or cheer for Pacquaio, except for those who gambled by betting some hefty amount of cash on the opposing force, well guess what, you lose!

So what can a Manny Pacquiao fight do to the Philippines and Filipinos in general? Here are some of the Manny Pacquiao Effect:
  • The crime rate in the Philippines drastically drops. Funny how even the most vilest of criminals and scourge to society have tendencies to just take a rest and route for a Philippine boxing icon like Pacquiao versus another country's representative.
  • The usually heavily congested road traffic transforms into a seemingly deserted road which can only be seen on ghost towns. I personally testify this as I gave the Pacquiao-Margarito fight a pass to meet some friends over the weekend. I just know at the back of my mind that he will win the fight which he did, and the news would definitely be all over the place on his victory later on which will extend for the next week or so (probably until he comes back). I was amazed how fast I was able to go from our home to my friend's meeting place at a local mall. There were only a number of vehicles traversing that usually busy Sunday road, for it was a Pacquiao fight Sunday.
  • A Pacquiao fight is probably the best time do make business. Local vendors specially benefit from a public screening of a Pacquiao fight. There are the local restaurants, bars, hotels and clubs which also provide a Pacquiao fight live screening (thanks to PPV subscription, a nice investment if I may add) which in return will make a profit for them. Even telecommunication company like that of the PLDT myDSL WatchPad rides such hype by offering a livestream coverage for interested subscribers. Then there is one local television company which cashes in on the fight by showing a way delayed Philippine telecast of the Pacquiao fight, and they make money by advertisements which takes longer than the actual fight. It's business people.
  • Non-sports fans are later converted into a boxing loving fans (well, at least if Pacquiao is on it) which in turn can bring enthusiasm and focus back to the now fading and neglected industry of sports.
  • The Philippines is starting to get the international recognition it truly deserves as Filipinos starts to make a big difference in the international entertainment, art and sports scene... one in particular is that eight world boxing title holder from the Sarangani Province, Philipppines.

Overall this is a nice way for Pacquiao to portray and sell himself as a hero of the masses. He already infiltrated the congress, with millions of dollars of winnings from each title matches, whoc would dare think of a leader such as the caliber of Pacquiao to ever commit corruption in public office. This then make him a potential head of state for the Philippines, and maybe that is his ultimate goal. Just my two cents on it. Let's just hope that if ever that come to fruition, we won't see any of those "pambansang aninos" pulling his political strings.

Manny Pacquiao as President? Why not, most Filipinos chose Erap Estrada and Noynoy Aquino in the past right, so why exclude Pacquiao?

Pacquaio - Hatton Aftermath: K.O. By Round 2 and the Free Philippine TV Coverage

May 3, 2009 (Sunday) - Today the Philippines became an almost crime-free country thanks to the Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton Bout. The Philippine Pride Manny Pacquiao has once again showed his power and supremacy over his fight with Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton.

Pacquiao - Hatton Aftermath

A Pacquiao vs Hatton Aftermath

My day started with me waking up at around 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm in the afternoon, and was way too late to watch the online livestream of Pacquiao - Hatton fight so I relied on the Philippine local coverage of Pacquaio-Hatton fight on the Kapuso channel GMA and was a bit disappointed about how the viewing experience went.

My major complain against GMA's coverage of the Pacquiao- Hatton Fight is the overkill of television advertisements or product endorsements they ran over the course of the coverage. Some might argue, if you don't want to see any television ads then go pay for the service, well that sure is true but can't we at least get some quality free Philippine coverage without a TV Ad overkill? Quality in a sense that they at least have a sense of balance in running those TV ads.

Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton

Complains on GMA Kapuso 7 Philippine Television Coverage of the Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton Fight

GMA 7 only showed the Philippine National Anthem "Lupang Hinirang" sang (in his own way ala-American Idol kind of a way) by Martin Nievera. Mr. Nievera's version of "Lupang Hinirang" is not that bad and is excusable if he was on a singing competition or a social gathering, but in international events like the Pacquaio-Hatton Bout where all eyes of almost every Filipinos are on it, I think it was better if he stick with the traditional way of how the Philippine National Anthem should be sang. Oh well, let the nationalistic and patriotic Filipinos deal with Mr. Nievera once he set foot on Philippines again.

Going back to GMA 7, I believe they should at least played the United States of America and United Kingdom's national anthem to recognized them and to show respect rather than infesting it with ads. As I've heard from father, who watched the Pacquiao-Hatton Fight on live on a public viewing in our municipality said that Tom Jones sang United Kingdom's National anthem which GMA 7 didn't show and replaced it with nuisance Television ads.

Going back to the actual fight... yes, they managed to show the fight amidst the infestation of advertisements. As it start and disregarding those almost 30 minute-filled TV ads, the two fighters exchanged blows against each other. What one can easily notice was that Hatton tends to charge or rush towards Pacquiao which Pacquaio use for his advantage and the result was Ricky Hatton falling down two times by round one. I didn't like Ricky "Hatton's Clinching Style" of cheating, I mean fighting. Why clinch when you can attack head on your opponent? Does that mean that he admits to himself that he can't fight him head on? Well, I will never would know.

Though, I know that Pacquiao vs Hatton Fight will end in Round 2 (thanks to my father for spoiling the details) I was still curious on how will he beat Hatton. So here comes Round 2, Hatton managed to deliver quite some blow to Pacquiao as well but not K.O.-ing unlike what Pacquiao delivers to his opponent. The climax was the Knock Out Punch will delivered to Ricky Hatton by Manny Pacquaio which concluded the much talked about fight.

Not to sound arrogant, but was this the "surprise" Ricky Hatton was so confidently talking about? Well, it sure did surprise us though, because we though he could at least endure the match until the 7th or 8th round but he didn't. We were indeed surprised. I guess GMA Kapuso Channel was also surprised at the immediate outcome of the fight, so in order to earn more from their advertisers they repeated the fight from Round one after that concluding fight in round 2. I was proud and was ecstatic on how Manny Pacquiao once again showed the world his power and supremacy in the boxing ring (a feeling which almost all the Filipinos felt that time, I believe).

I will leave you with this video of How Manny Pacquiao Knocked Out Ricky Hatton
